History

A Community of Faith

For over 50 years, we have been a welcoming presence in our community. We're a diverse family committed to knowing Christ and making Him known.

Our church began in the late 1960s when a small group of families felt called to establish a congregation here. From humble beginnings in a living room, we've grown into a vibrant community that spans generations.

Rev. Dr. Emmanuel (Manny) Dorsamy

Senior Pastor

Born in Durban, South Africa to Christian parents, I grew up in a very strong and committed Christian family. From an early age, I was actively involved in all ministries within the local and District church. Married with 2 children and we have 4 grandchildren! In 2003 we emigrated to Australia and we have been actively involved in various church ministry work, including international missions and evangelism.

I have been blessed both academically, spiritually, and a special gifting in music (being talented in instruments such as the guitar, keyboard, ukulele, voice training, choir and bands). I have a deep passion for all things church and see the extension of God’s work such as community engagement; social justice; special care for widows, orphans, people with disabilities, and the homeless, as serious church business.

I believe that all men have sinned and we can only be redeemed by the grace and forgiveness of God. I believe in a Heaven and Hell and that Christ will return to earth as part of the rapture and second coming events. Heaven is a prepared and special place for those who have lived a righteous and faithful Christian life.
